Hey there, welcome to Woman in Time — where history gets a new perspective.

From the earliest civilisations to today, women have always been there, shaping society, yet there’s a lot of “his” in history - what about her? Woman in Time aims to change that by showcasing 12 regular lives, spanning 12 centuries, all tied together by one shared thread: the experience of being a woman.

Forget the usual dry dates and wars. This is about real lives, the little things that make up a life, the personal details that have been left out for too long. These women might not have made the history books, but their stories are just as important.

The first episode are coming in June (shhh, keeping it on the low for now), but here’s a sneak peek at the 12 women you’ll meet along the way. These are the characters who will take you on a journey from flint to phone, from the ancient world to the modern day.

In the weeks leading up to the launch, expect to see sneak peeks, sketches, and some behind-the-scenes looks at the process. All these will go behind a paywall after launch, but don’t worry, the weekly comic will still be free (so make sure you are subscribed to receive it!)
